Fine-medium grind
Tuned for Delux Blend - Arabica Cherry AA + Chicory 80:20 Blend, Medium-Dark.
- Coffee
- 20 g
- Water
- 100 ml about ½ cup
- Water temperature
- 90 °C — boiled, then left about a minute A medium-dark roast dissolves faster and turns bitter if you push it.
- Brew time
- 22:30 A Natural coffee gives its fruit up early and its ferment late.
That is a ratio of 1:5, if you would rather scale it.
- Pack the coffee into the upper chamber and level it.
- Pour in the hot water, cover, and leave it alone.
- Chicory drips more slowly than coffee. Give it twenty to twenty-five minutes.
- Mix one part decoction to four parts hot milk. Chicory carries further than coffee does.
- It is ground for this brewer already. If it runs through too fast, use a little more coffee rather than reaching for a finer grind.
- Roasted 6 days ago, which is about as good as it gets.
Ground fine for this brewer before it was bagged.
