Drip bag filters
For the single-serve sachets you fill and hang on a cup.
Tuned for Delux Blend - Arabica Cherry AA + Chicory 80:20 Blend, Medium-Dark.
- Coffee
- 12 g
- Water
- 180 ml about ¾ cup
- Water temperature
- 90 °C — boiled, then left about a minute A medium-dark roast dissolves faster and turns bitter if you push it.
- Brew time
- 2:15 A Natural coffee gives its fruit up early and its ferment late.
- First pour
- 30 ml, then wait 30 seconds
That is a ratio of 1:15, if you would rather scale it.
- Hook the two paper arms over the rim of the cup so the filter hangs inside it.
- Tip the coffee in and level it with a tap.
- Wet the grounds with a little water and wait half a minute.
- Pour the rest in two or three goes, letting it drain between each.
- Lift the bag out and throw it away. Squeezing it only adds bitterness.
- It is ground for this brewer already. If it runs through too fast, use a little more coffee rather than reaching for a finer grind.
- 80:20 coffee and chicory. It brews darker and faster than coffee alone, so pull it a touch short.
- Roasted 7 days ago, which is about as good as it gets.
Ground medium-fine for this brewer before it was bagged.
